Paradox is one of the core phenomenon that affect our
existence and one paradox that almost everybody would have experienced in their
life is that we humans tend to avoid those truths to the maximum extent which
we need to hear the most. But in everyone’s life comes a phase when we start to
question everything. A new urge of seeking the reason behind everything that is
going around us sprouts up. Some of us manage to suppress this newly developed
need like a poisonous insect is crushed immediately if seen inside the house,
while some allow it to nourish as they take questioning and reasoning as a
healthy practice. The latter lot then goes through a very painful period of
self realisation when your faith gets shattered, your belief system is shaken
and your preconceived notions are broken which were passed on since generations
and were injected time and again since your birth.
This destruction of imposed ideals often leads to some harsh
realisations and bitter self imposed ideals and one denominator that generally
holds this newfound cynicism in the wake of the departure of insubstantial
optimism is that this world and life is as inconsequential as the false ego of humans.
The idea that we exist and our existence is an individualistic whole is as
absurd an idea as the universe whose reflection this existence is. That we just
make up the stories, the stories in which we can convince ourselves that there
is a meaning, a purpose, higher than the ground reality, just so we can forget
this ground reality. And just to run away from this truth we make up the bubble
of creativity and achievement and imaginary goals or the greatest of them all, enlightenment.
A strong possibility is that this realisation is just the
skin of the truth, the first layer of it as truth can also have multi layered
texture. It too can dwell in co existence of various elements just like us and
wherever you are standing; your truth will start from there. So if we further
dig in to that absurdist cynicism, we might as well find that if there is any
purpose to the life, it is attaining a state of utopia.
Our life is a collection of varied experiences we have
because of diversified reasons but if we try to narrow down our life, it could
very well be narrowed down into laughs and tears. Although we need both of them
in life and we just cannot escape any one of them, the occurrence of one from
the other may vary from person to person. All that we chase in life, all the
things we try to accumulate are in the search of joy, laughs, smiles,
achievements, accomplishments, in search of happiness. And all that we try to
avoid and keep away from in life are sorrows, tears, disappointments, regrets, and
sadness. A good life lived can be defined by a good balance of these experiences,
but even then a question arises, is there any eternal remnant even if one
achieves a peaceful balance? Well if there is one that can only be achieved
through love. It can only be felt in the space that is created around two
people deep in love indulged in nothingness. When after a very long span of
discussions and interactions and walks and whatsoever, two people want to sit
and just sit with each other, just breathe and look at nothing and hear nothing
and see nothing and just stay put without asking, without moving, without
telling. Sometimes after years of togetherness, sometimes within a small time
you come to know another being so well that one might as well live themselves
in them. If that period of togetherness is not really corrupted by pursuits
which are malignant and temporary, one might feel a complete liberty to be themselves
and then a journey towards utopia might start. After that one might feel
totally within their own self. It might feel like an integrated and united unit
and not scattered bits, only after that unison within yourself, one can feel
calm and that need of being in a constant physical presence of the person you
love might decrease as then you might very well be in a constant touch with
love.
I myself cannot paint a clearer picture of a complete soul
in a state of utopia as I myself am not in that state but in all the existence
of human life since its inception to till date if there is a common and
strongest pursuit that is love. This is what has remained and will always be
there. Either you have it in you to love the whole existence equally, which is
the rarest thing to find, or you love the whole existence in a single
person. Only this could be the escape.
