WHY WE SHOULD LOSE HOPE, WHATSOEVER, IN ANY COLLECTIVE IDEAL

Man, as per his nature of constantly evolving being has evolved very nicely within itself and with its environment, hand in hand and today it has so much within his reach that was just unimaginable decades before. But, do we really have evolved for so much better and is life so easy and better for us now than it was ever before? And the more you think and explore this question, the more you tend to understand, why the situation at the core level of every human being is more deplorable than ever. Why we are running so fast towards decadence and why as a collective bunch we are becoming more and more dull, predictable and synthetic just like the food and all the things we ‘enjoy’ today and this whole scenario just becomes like one of those puzzles in which you have to compare two almost similar photographs and look for some missing article in one of them, and once you see it, it is all the time in front of you and you try very hard to make other people see it, but till they don’t see it they would never believe that it can exist.
Why I have totally lost all hope in the idea of any collective change or betterment is because our basis for it is so flawed as the very first thing that can let people aspire for a collective change is education, which is not at all a process to gain knowledge, and it is not since today, it is since the time when grading system and degrees were introduced in the education system. So the only base which could provide knowledge or betterment in group dynamics is nullified and converted into a race course, sometimes a ‘sophisticated’ one, the other times, pure gutter. It is just breeding horses and slaves who will one day get a job, and Knowledge? That could have been an endeavour in Gurukul not in today’s ‘real’ world, where we spend more than twenty years of your life totally clueless to become someone who will spend the next thirty five years totally clueless.
We just don’t experience anything the way it is supposed to be because if you put even a strand of thought in those experiences, one can understand how hollow they are. We don’t even enjoy our food the way it is supposed to be, we don’t ever go to a restaurant just for the good food, dressing up real good, and photographs and chatting with friends, well chatting all men proving who is the alpha male, and women counting the number who are trying to prove it to them, all this seems more important. In a party a menu is as good as many dishes it has, nobody cares that most of it is going to be left over or used for days to come which just kills the flavour, nutrition and mood of it. The noblest profession in this world that is of farmer is a lost call. You can understand the condition which is today especially in the sub continent by the fact that farmers have to commit suicide and nobody really cares. But hey, we have got our nice restaurants, with regular food in expensive chinaware and awesome selfies and we are trending on social media, see we can create happiness for ourselves today.
We take photographs not to capture the moments we can cherish, but we can use the perfect light, angle, location and some ten of those amazing filters and appear beautiful to ourselves and the people around us, so what if it is not real. We are the champions of virtual world today, and so what if superficial beauty is anyway a temporary thing, it doesn’t matter as it won’t last for eternity. But we don’t want experiences that will last for eternity because that will mean we will have to start living in present because only a real experience, lived and felt for present without any baggage of past and without any pretence for future is really eternal.
Many of us listen to particular music and songs, read books, watch some film and enjoy any other art because it is trending. Seriously, we think we can get anything from it because it’s trending? Really there is no need to say about it any further. Since our birth to our deaths, we spend the whole lifetime for the sake of others, because that is what we are told. Have better marks than the rest of them, dress up properly than the rest of them, talk in a particular way, in a particular language like the rest of them, and get a ‘good’ job like the rest of them, without really knowing how your job is doing anything for you, yourself apart from the monthly pay check. Yes there can be more to it than just your monthly pay, and no it is not added benefits and insurance policies. First of all it is knowing what your company or workplace is doing in the larger scheme of things, and a more appropriate and rather straight to the face question would be what you are doing in your company, or will do for the rest of your life and will that make any difference even in what your company is doing? This is really a big question for our sub continent youth which they are not going to ask, collectively. Throughout the western domination of the world, first they had Afro-Americans for their fields and plantations, then they added Mexicans and other immigrants to the lot, for their industries and now they have our suit wearing, English speaking engineers for their IT industry. And you know what is common in all those who worked for these giants? They always liked their jobs and thought they were doing better for themselves.
The common denominator of all this is that we just condition ourselves so well to get satisfied with the hollow, temporary experiences that even the idea that all the things that we do and enjoy can be felt more deeply without pretences and baggage feels alien to us.We will intoxicate ourselves, have drinks with friends because we want to enjoy with them, but will never ask why it gets so much harder to enjoy their company without being intoxicated? We will smoke pot, snort coke, pop in acid (LSD) pills, go in to the state of trance, why? Hey, it’s cool and fun plus, the big daddy (Hollywood) said so. And we brag about the state of trance we were in. Yes we do, we the cool ones, we brag about the mental state in which the conscious meets the sub conscious and all the experiences in that period are a whole within themselves. But no that’s not what we were talking about; we get high, and laugh and listen to trance music, that’s our trance dude!
We are so scared to think that any mindless activity which will keep us off of thinking appeals so much to us, because if we start to spend time with ourselves we might get to know ourselves and that might turn out to be a collection of just these hollow, temporary experiences, where our laughs, our conversations, our touch, our joy, everything might have come with a need, a need to make a mark in social circuit, a need to get noticed among friends and not just plain, sheer joy of these experiences. Because you know you just can’t get those from those people, because they are no different, if they were, they too won’t need to escape what you too are escaping. But one thing we just can’t see is that when we will see how hollow this all is, we can’t be free, but then some clues might lead to a few experiences, which were totally free and only then we would cherish them the way they ought to be cherished, and they might set us free, free to only be with those people who will let us be free, not with those about whom we complain so much that we always need something extra to be around them, but still we tell ourselves everybody is flawed, what’s their fault?

It’s not that since I am rambling about all this stuff so I don’t do all this, there is a reason why I always use the term “we”, but yes as I mentioned above, it is one those clues, once you see them, you just can’t “un-see” them.
